Discover Bern

Bern is one of the most loved cities in Switzerland, in particular for its medieval old town which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists like Berna, because it’s a very rich city, not only from a cultural point of view. Indeed, beyond museums, monuments, and historical sites, you will find excellent restaurants (national and international), fantastic beer gardens and lots of shops! Bern is also home to the Swiss Parliament located in the beautiful Bundeshaus.

Old Town

Once you have stored your luggage, you should definitely visit every corner of the beautiful Old Town of Bern. This ancient area is crossed by the river Aar (which rises in the Taunus mountains) and is characterized by pretty medieval buildings with red roofs set between arches, towers, arcades and fountains. One of the most appreciated buildings is the Prison Tower which in the '200s and' 300s was the western entrance to the city. Even the Bundesplatz with its 26 fountains (yes, 26!) is much loved by visitors.
